Low carb diets high in protein have become trendy with those who want to lose weight. A high protein low carb diet usually poses certain health risks for instance reduced levels of fiber, and increased fat intake and at times severely reduced carbohydrate levels. However increased protein levels assist in keeping the mind active. In order to have a balanced high protein low carb diet so that you don’t end up with a boring diet of nothing but a heap of hamburger meat you need to be creative. Your low-carb diet plan should be healthy and full of variety.
Meat protein

You get the image meat and lots of meat when you think of a high protein low carb diet. But the meat will clog your body with saturated fats that are not friendly to your heart. Most people’s favorite meats include steak, bacon and pork chops. Try to integrate poultry into your low carb diet to decrease the amount of saturated fats you consume. Chicken and turkey are perfect examples.

Chicken carbonara is a fine Italian dish. To prepare this dish first heat the oven before hand up to 350 degrees F. Fry the chicken quickly in low olive oil until it turns somewhat brown. After that put the chicken in a casserole dish of butter, then have some spaghetti sauce preferably low carb poured on top of the chicken. Crown it some shredded mozzarella sprinkle plus parmesan cheese and cook in the oven for 40 minutes.

In order to reduce the fat intakes in red meat go for lean beef cuts. Low fat bison meat is also a good alternatively if you can find it as it is also high in protein. However you choose to prepare your bison meat it makes healthy low carb steak dish. One exceptionally good method is pot roast for bison meat. Sauté the bison in a Dutch oven until it turns somewhat brown. Chop some onions and add to the bison after removing it from the oven. Also include about 2 cans of beef broth,  3tbs of minced garlic , a cup of red wine, Worcestershire and basil about 2 tbs each, an eighth tea spoon of freshly mashed black pepper. Let the mixture boil then allow it to simmer while covered for 3 to 4 hours on low heat until the meat gets exceptionally tender.
Seafood protein meals

Fish is a healthy low carb high protein meal with lots of alternatives. For a healthy combination of protein and healthy fats then baked or broiled fish should be your choice. Prepare a sauce containing Dijon mustard, parmesan cheese, salt plus pepper. Make sure the broiler is heated prior to the broiling then you can broil the fish for 12 minutes. Use your already prepared sauce to coat the fish then proceed to cook for another 15 minutes.  Once ready you can serve the fish together with some steamed broccoli or cauliflower.

Low carb vegetable protein sources

Vegetable protein sources like beans are usually full of carbs examples include beans and soy products. There are a few sources however, that contains low carbs for instance the zero carb tofu. Broccoli, turnips and cauliflower are starch free vegetables that make easy meals. Just quickly sauté it in a little oil until the vegetable is tender. Include a bit of your preferred low carb sauce, onions, garlic plus tofu.
